I want to share with you an fascinating experiment I just did. It has to do with my diet for abs. First I must tell you that this spanned over 3 months. Hopefully after reading this you will have a better insight on fat reduction. I started by cutting out all processed food. These foods include cereals, sodas, juices, candies, bread and bagels. Just by doing this I dropped 10 pounds in the 1st 4 weeks. I would like to think this is a decent amount of weight to lose in a month.
Dropping ten pounds was my goal. In choosing my next goal for the next month I sat down and figured out how many calories that I was actually eating. Now here is the fascinating thing that I had found. I was consuming the exact number of calories of processed foods as I did consuming unprocessed foods. So when selecting a diet for abs you must choose the right foods.
This really surprised me. I thought by switching to healthy unprocessed foods I was cutting calories. But the but the facts showed that I was eating the exact number of calories. So I decided to try this experiment. I purposely over ate and increased the amount of calories I consumed. I did this for the next month. I was even more fascinated to discover that I did not gain any weight.
This led me to the conclusion that the amount of calories that you eat may not be the deciding factor in dropping weight. I decided to drop my caloric intake by 750 calories a day going from 3000 calories to 2250 calories and I re-introduced peanut butter cups, pasta, breads and still my favorite drink Mountain Dew. During the next 30 days my weight increased by 7 pounds eating fewer calories. This to me, is proof that it is not just calories that has impact on your weight loss.
The basic reason why this occurs is how the body reacts to the food. Foods that been processed are far from being naturally dense and is why you have cravings. This occurs because the body is not constantly adjusting the hormones levels to take care of the super high nutrient dense food.
The Diet For Abs blog would like to invite you to test the theory out yourself. Do it for 30 days and find out what happens. What you are going to discover is that you will lose weight. Your cravings will diminish because you are giving the body with the nutrients that you need. You will also find that your energy level will increase throughout the day. You tend to workout harder if you have more energy which will help you lose fat quickly.
